Women SUV Driver FRAP

This is a huge FRAP for me. Why do so
many women drive around in the oversized
SUVs, the Tahoe, Excursion, Escalade, and
even the H2. These cars are too big for you!
Stick to the small to medium size vehicles.
Dont tell me its because you need a car
that seats seven because every time I see you
driving, you are by yourself. Just because
your husband bought you that overpriced,
oversized vehicle does not mean you own
the road and can talk on your phone when
you cannot even judge your turning radius
because your big Chanel sunglasses take up
your whole face. In my opinion, you are
more dangerous than New York City cab
drivers. You do not pay attention when you
drive, you certainly cannot park because you
take up two spaces at a time and you do not
pay attention to what is behind you when
you back up even though the sensor is
telling youuh..hello??? You are going to
hit that shopping cart!! You all claim you
buy the vehicle for its safety but then you
completely ignore the safety laws when you
drive. Do you think you are protected by a
steel barrier and cannot get hurt? (Never
mind that, do you care if you hurt somebody
else out there)?

What is wrong with driving a sensible
vehicle? There should be special licensing
requirements for women to drive SUVs
because they are clearly struggling to drive
them. These vehicles require more strength
to operate because there is more vehicle to
maneuver. I am not condemning women
driversnot yet anyway, I am just
condemning your choice of transportation.
Not only are you already a danger on the
road in these vehicles but why do you have
to talk on the phone while you areattempting to operate one. Cant the gossip
wait until you get home? You do not pay
attention and you cut people off like youre
so entitled. Like the rules of the road do not
apply to you.

Another aggravating thing about you is that
you park in undesignated parking spaces;
fire zones, handicap spots, expectant mother
parking spaces,Oh, Ill just be a minute!
In addition, you drive way too fast in those
parking lots. They are not thru streets, they
are PARKING LOTS! Actually, you drive
too fast pretty much everywhere I see you;
residential areas, mall parking structures,
freeways, school parking lots. What makes
your time more valuable than mine? What
could be so important that you cannot
adhere to the speed limits. (Your nail lady
will wait for you dont worry).
As I said, I am not opposed to women
drivers as long as they drive sensibly, like
anyone else is expected to do. However, for
some reason when you buy these SUVs you
leave the lot with a complimentary
lobotomy.

Thought Vibration by William Walker Atkinson - Book Review

Written in 1906, Thought Vibration by William Walker Atkinson, is as current and relevant today as it was a century ago. Atkinson, a somewhat forgotten New Thought pioneer, was also an attorney, merchant, publisher, editor and author of more than 100 books, many under pseudonyms.

Without being preachy, Atkinson explores the ideas of increasing willpower, mastering the real self, living fully, ridding the mind of negative thought, training habits, harnessing emotions, and developing new brain power. His older writing style is still lively and surprisingly refreshing 100 years later.

I love Atkinson's "in your face" attitude about will power. (If you don't have any, you're mentally lazy!) And his thoughts on what he calls "asserting the life-force" or really living and experiencing each moment of every day, call us to stop doing things half-hearted. Take an interest, man!

Atkinson spends a lot of time discussing fear and how it affects our attitudes and, eventually, our ability to succeed. Fear, he says, is an expectancy of the feared thing. To banish fear, start to do some of the things you could do if you were not afraid to try. Assert courage and, eventually, the fear will recede.

Atkinson leaves us with some thoughts on our views of successful people. We imagine successful people to be superior. And if we ever get the chance to meet someone we deem as superior, many times we are disappointed to find that they are the same as ourselves! The difference, Atkinson asserts, is the successful person's belief in themselves and their ability to concentrate. Resist the urge to undervalue ourselves and overvalue others.

Amazing how the world around us is so different yet the human element remains the same!

Tithing Education - Giving From Guilt

If you're part of any organized religion and donate money on a regular basis, do you know where your money is going? Have you ever asked what they are spending the money on? Are you one of those people who feels that your pastor and church leaders know best and never even ask them, because you might feel inferior to them? Have you asked in the past and were told not to worry about it but still would like to know.

Before you give your hard earned money away, whether you're doing it out of guilt or pleasure, make sure you're supporting the right organization. You should never feel the need to donate money if you don't have it to give.

I went to a church that had funds for everything, building funds, starvation funds, church funds and even funds to fund of funds if they ran out of money. Okay I just threw that last part in their but all kidding aside, there's plenty of stuff to be done in our country, to help the starving, the poor and the needy. Why do we need to go to other countries?

I want to make a suggestion to people who can't afford to give their money away but feel guilty if they don't. In the Bible it tells you to give away 10% of your earnings to the church. The part that it doesn't tell you is what to do if you can't afford to give 10% to the church. I personally have known quite a few people who give money out of guilt and fear but will tell you that this is a requirement of their religion and its okay. God will take care of us and he always does.

I don't really believe God, the all powerful all-knowing and loving creator, wants us to suffer, if we just don't make enough money to survive. If you're planning on sending your child to a Christian private school and could only afford to send them to that school, using the money that you were going to tithe to the church, what will you do? Tithe the money to the church so that they can use it to feed hungry people in other countries or build a new church somewhere or help with your child's education.

Some of these decisions are made difficult by religious doctrine and these are the parts of organized religion that I have problems with. When do we use common sense, combined with a little education to seek the truth. Does your religion ask you to seek the truth but not to gather your information beyond their religious boundaries?

Only give what you can afford to give and feel good about it. If you don't feel good about giving your money away, don't do it. Take care of yourself, so that you can take care of others, if you choose to. Living a life of fear and guilt doesn't make sense.

Article Writing Tips When Publishing Online

When composing an article for readers online there are some simple writing tips that could help you get the most out of your efforts.

Certain aspects of preparing an article to be read online differ from the more casual off-line approach to writing. Attention needs to be paid to the 'technical' and 'structural' elements involved in constructing an article for online readers.

Let's review 4 areas of preparation involved in online article writing and how it may differ from 'traditional' offline articles.

INTRIGUING HEADLINE

The headline should jump out at the reader and capture their interest to read further into the article. Whether you're using humor, shock, or appealing to the reader on some emotional level it needs to make the reader pause.

Online this can be a bit of a challenge due to the reader's ability in just a nano second to quickly click away. The challenge is compounded further by certain restrictions article directories have in place. Any wording deemed unfit or a misrepresentation of content will prevent your article from even being published online.

Headlines that often work online would take the direction of 'How to", "The Greatest", "The Easiest", or even a numbered list such as "5 Ways to".

DON'T USE MISLEADING HEADLINES

Using a headline that inaccurately reflects the article content just to capture attention generally won't work online. Browsers who open up an article are expecting to view information as indicated in the headline. When this doesn't happen they quickly, and sometimes irritably, click away. With access to so much information readers will leave without a second thought.

ONLINE ARTICLE FORMATTING

When submitting an article online it is recommended to include a resource box so readers can link back to your site if they choose. The number of words and links you use will face the scrutiny of both the directories and the readers. You'll need to be concise and convincing in order to get the reader to do what you want them to do.

Most articles will be accompanied by a short summary or abstract that again is monitored by directories. Your abstract is limited to just a few sentences in which you're convincing readers why they should read your article.

If you're submitting article to ezines or perhaps publishing them in a newsletter you'll need to pay attention to the number of characters you use per line. If not done correctly your composition will not appear in a uniformed orderly fashion on the internet.

KEYWORD USAGE

The use of keywords in every aspect of article writing from titles to the body of content down to the abstracts themselves is critical. If your work is not optimized correctly with keywords neither search engines nor readers will every be able to locate your article content.

Keyword placement, accuracy, frequency of and the manner in which they are used are closely monitored by search engines. Keywords are the beacons that attract and guide search engines to your article itself. If this task is not completed correctly your article exposure will suffer.

These writing tips we've discussed here should enable you to more effectively plan and prepare your articles for internet reading. The focus here is more on concise content delivery, formatting, and keyword use. This allows your article to be easily found and then viewed online. With the size of the audience the internet makes available to you these additional measures are more than worth it!

A Simple Homemade Solar Air Heater - Home Tips

The use of solar energy from the sun is one of the ways where depletion of resources (especially that of consumable energy generators such as oil and coal) is lessened and conservation of energy is maximized. Knowing on how to build a simple and cheap diy homemade solar powered air conditioning heater to heat up a room or a house is one example of the application of solar energy for household use.

The basic principle in making a solar air heater lies in the behavior and movements of air, metals and colors. Inside the main body of the solar air heaters are pipes or tubings coated in black paint (using black paint enhances the ability of the pipes to absorb heat). These pipes are also made up of metals which have abilities to attract and absorb heat (some environmentalists use aluminum cans because this metal has a high thermal conductivity and at the same time by doing so recycling is done lessening the garbage and effect to land contamination).

Solar air heaters are usually situated in a vertical position where its body or at least a large portion of the whole apparatus is exposed to the sun's rays. As cool air enters the bottom portion of the tank, it passes through the black-coated pipes and it is in this process that transfer of heat from the pipes to the transient air happens (convection). The laws of heat transfer states that heat moves from the hotter body to a cooler one, following this law, the pipes which in this situation is the hotter object gives off its heat into the cooler body, the moving air.

Basic theories of science also states that one of the properties of air is that cooler air moves down and hotter air goes up. This is partly one of the hidden reasons why solar air heaters are suggested to be built vertically rather than horizontally, because without using any other equipments or devices cool air enters the bottom of the heater then as the temperature goes up due to the transfer of heat this air goes up into air vents or tubes which is connected to the room or house where increase in temperature is desired. No more compressor or pump is necessary for such movement.

The longer the pipings and tubings are and the more tubes the air passes through the higher the increase of temperature from the final output to the initial input are achieved. Designs such as loops and the "snake" piping configuration are sometimes suggested by literature for use as it requires slower rising of air to the outlet and having more heat transfer processes as it passes through. However by using these complex patterns it must also be taken into consideration that this also has a negative side because if insulation of heat is quite poor the longer the pipings are the more chances the initial heat acquired by the air is instead given off to the surroundings. Now you have a better idea on how to build a simple and cheap diy homemade solar powered air conditioning heater.

Dehumidifiers and Their Uses - House Tips

Excessive of anything is bad for your health, and the same goes for humidity in your home. Coupled with the heat of summer, humidity beyond the ideal figures of 30-50 percent in your house can cause numerous problems to your health. Respiratory problems such as flus and colds are caused by the environmental changes encouraging the growth of mold spores and dust mites. Moreover, damage to stored food items, furniture and other home appliances can happen from excessive exposure to increased levels of humidity.

The telling signs of excessive humidity are condensation on windows, wet spots on walls, ceilings or tiles. If stuffiness is felt or the air has a musty smell or odor, there is an increased chance of allergies etc and a dehumidifier is usually needed. Dehumidifiers are the easiest way to avoid such problems. Available in a variety of sizes and types they work in the same way i.e. they draw in humid air, dry it, retain the water for later discharge and release the dryer air into the indoor area. This process also results in bringing down the temperature as well.

Dehumidifiers are usually portable to be moved from one room to another in order to get your whole dehumidified. The increased electricity bill will pinch if used around the house in such a manner but considering the damage to one's home and family, it is well worth it. It is also important to empty the device in a regular basis as the stagnant water or residue attracts bacteria and germs thus defeating the purpose of the device.

Due to the different types of dehumidifiers available, one has to prioritize the areas of your home to dehumidify. First priority is given to basements as they are prone to excessive humidity. Basements dehumidifiers are therefore among the commonest followed by similar devices in places like laundry rooms. However, in climates where humidity is a lot everywhere in a house, living room, dens or recreation rooms are prime candidates for which smaller portable devices are ideal.

Besides getting a dehumidifier of a capacity according the place where it is used, proper maintenance is necessary to keep it functioning properly as mentioned before. One factor enabling better upkeep is the relative humidity outside the house, which will dictate whether more care is needed or not. For example a clogged filter will make bacteria grow more easily or a make the device function less efficiently, thereby reducing capacity to dehumidify a room and also using more electricity.

Another important factor is the extent of control over your device. For this it's important that you ensure your dehumidifier has a hygrometer and humidistat to control the precise percentages of humidity levels in the air. Although they might not be available in smaller models, they are indispensable in larger ones. Furthermore, dehumidifiers that have convenient ways of discharging excessive levels of water are easier to use and maintain.
